Crafting

Crafting is a mechanic introduced in Season 6. It allows players to craft loot.

Materials

Players can find Materials in Supply bins (5 for each bin) or at Material Stations (25 for each Station) that randomly generate near a Replicator. They do not occupy any inventory space and are kept after death (in case the player is respawned). They cannot be looted off death boxes.

Replicator

Replicators are stations that can turn materials into loot. It takes 10 seconds to craft, and all players in the nearby area are notified if a Replicator is being used. Replicators have eight slots: two change daily, two change weekly, and four are permanent. Their locations on the map are randomized but players can reveal their locations during the first 10 seconds of the game. Additional Replicators get dropped as the game progresses.

Daily

Each day, two high-tier attachments are put in the Replicator and do not spawn on the ground. The items rotate at 10 A.M. Pacific Time.

Weekly

Each week, two high-tier loot are put in the Replicator and do not spawn on the ground. The items rotate on Sunday at 10 A.M. Pacific Time.

Permanent

Replicators can always craft the following:

A Shield Battery for 20.
A Med Kit for 20.
A box of ammo for the player's weapon for 5. If there are two weapons, the cost is 10.
100 Evo Points for the player's Evo Shield for 45. The Evo Shield will also be fully charged. The player is left with a Level 0 Evo Shield in the meantime.

March 18, 2021 Patch

Re-enabled after it was disabled earlier to fix an exploit that was causing crashes.

March 09, 2021 Patch

Items will no longer “stick” to a Replicator when dropped on the Replicator.
Crypto can no longer teleport to a Replicator.

December 01, 2020 Patch

Addressed an issue where players would teleport to their last used Replicator after being knocked down.

November 04, 2020 Patch

Removed weapons from the daily loot rotation.
Added Shield Batteries to permanent items.
Now prevents other players from picking up items that you crafted for the first 5 seconds after crafting. This can be disabled by pinging the item.
Changed the color of Replicator airdrops' beams to teal to better distinguish it from Care Packages.

October 06, 2020 Patch

(Undocumented) Now requires players to hold the "use" button, rather than press it once. This will stop instances where players accidentally enter the Replicator HUD.

September 03, 2020 Patch

Fixed an issue with pinging a Replicator from the drop ship playing a “Let’s go here” voiceover ping.
Fixed an issue with Evo Shields that require exactly 100 damage not evolving when crafting the 100 points.
Fixed an issue with Ninja controller configuration not being able to use Replicators.
Fixed an issue with not being able to revive a teammate when they are downed while using a replicator.
