Players may unlock Legends and various cosmetic items through various types of in-game currency.
Some events feature event-specific currency, which can be used only during their respective event to unlock event-exclusive items.
Apex Coins[ | ]
Apex Coins can only be acquired by purchasing them with real world currency or in Battle Passes. They may be used to purchase Apex Packs, featured items in the Store and event limited items, at the following prices each:
- Legends: 750
- Apex Packs: 500
- Event Packs: 700
- Thematic Packs: 400
- Apex Packs: 100
- Legendary skins: 1,800
- Legendary Charms: 700
- epic skins and epic Holosprays: 1,000
- epic Charms: 500
- Rare skins: 500
Crafting Metals[ | ]
Crafting Metals may be used to purchase cosmetic items such as Legend and weapon skins, intro and kill quips, gun charms, banner Frames, banner trackers, holo-sprays and finishers. The amount of Crafting Metals required to purchase an item vary based on the item's rarity:
Crafting Metals can be acquired through Apex Packs, replacing duplicate items in case the pack decides to drop an item already owned. The amount of Crafting Metals dropped are equal to half the duplicate's original cost, for example Legendary Crafting Metals are worth 600. They can also be acquired through Battle Pass levels rewards, up to 1,200 per Season.
Legend Tokens[ | ]
Legend Tokens can only be acquired by leveling up, where 600 are awarded for each level starting with level 4. They may be used to unlock Legends, purchase recolors of Legendary skins in the Store, and reroll daily challenges, at the following prices each:
- Legends: 12,000
- Legendary skin recolors: 10,500
- Second daily challenge reroll: 200
- Third daily challenge reroll: 500
- Subsequent daily challenge rerolls: 1,000
The cost to reroll daily challenges resets to 200 each day. The first daily challenge reroll is free.
Heirloom Shards[ | ]
Heirloom Shards are used to purchase items from the Mythic Store. Each Apex Pack that isn't an Event one has a less than 1%[1] chance of dropping 150 unless 499 Packs are opened without finding any, in that case the 500th Pack is guaranteed to drop 150.
Some Collection Events, such as Anniversary, may offer 150 upon acquiring all 24 Collection Event items.
Event-specific currencies[ | ]
Crowns[ | ]
Crowns were the currency utilized during the Iron Crown Collection Event to purchase event exclusive items in the Iron Crown Store, they could only be obtained through event challenges or by opening Iron Crown packs.
Nodes[ | ]
Nodes were the currency utilized during the Neon Network Collection Event to purchase event exclusive items in the Reward Shop and earn Badges. They could only be obtained via accessing Supply Nodes during the Node Tracker Takeover.
Camo Coins[ | ]
Camo Coins were the currency utilized during the Apex Legends X Post Malone Event to purchase event exclusive items in the Reward Shop and earn Badges. They could only be obtained by completing special daily challenges during the event.
Mobile-specific currencies[ | ]
Apex Legends Mobile, being distinct from Apex Legends, has its own array of in-game currencies.
Syndicate Gold[ | ]
Syndicate Gold is the main premium currency of Apex Legends Mobile, being used to purchase store bundles and roll for skins in various events.
Purchases of Syndicate Gold were disabled on January 31, 2023 in preparation for the game's shutdown.[2]
Flux[ | ]
Flux is used to craft a set collection of skins, behaving similarly to Crafting Metals.
Seasonal Currency[ | ]
Seasonal Currency is used to purchase cosmetics from each season's Seasonal Store. It can be obtained through events and challenges, as well as through playing Ranked. A player's Seasonal Currency count is reset each season or season extension.
