Players may unlock Legends and various cosmetic items through various types of in-game currency.

The Iron Crown Iron Crown Collection Event also introduced event-specific currency, called Iron Crown Icon Crowns, which can be used only during an event to unlock event-exclusive items, and it's currently the only event where it was possible to use such event-specific currency.

Apex Coins

Apex Coins

Apex Coins can only be acquired by purchasing them with real world currency or in Battle Passes. They may be used to purchase Apex Pack Apex Packs, featured items in the Store and event limited items, at the following prices each:

Crafting Metals

Crafting Metals

Crafting Metals may be used to purchase cosmetic items such as Legend and weapon skins, intro and kill quips, gun charms, banner Frames, banner trackers, holo-sprays and finishers. The amount of Crafting Metals required to purchase an item vary based on the item's rarity:

  • Common item: Crafting Metals 30;
  • Rare item: Crafting Metals 60 or Crafting Metals 160;
  • epic item: Crafting Metals 400 or Crafting Metals 800;
  • Legendary item: Crafting Metals 1,200 or Crafting Metals 2,400.

Crafting Metals can be acquired through Apex Pack Apex Packs, replacing duplicate items in case the pack decides to drop an item already owned. The amount of Crafting Metals dropped are equal to half the duplicate's original cost, for example Legendary Crafting Metals are worth Crafting Metals 600. They can also be acquired through Battle Pass levels rewards, up to Crafting Metals 1,200 per Season.

Legend Tokens

Legend Tokens

Legend Tokens can only be acquired by leveling up, where Legend Tokens 600 are awarded for each level, and may be used to unlock Legends, purchase recolors of Legendary skins in the Store, and reroll daily challenges, at the following prices each:

  • Legends: Legend Tokens 12,000;
  • Legendary skin recolors: either Legend Tokens 6,500 or Legend Tokens 10,500;
  • Second daily challenge reroll: Legend Tokens 200;
  • Third daily challenge reroll: Legend Tokens 500;
  • Subsequent daily challenge rerolls: Legend Tokens 1,000.

The cost to reroll daily challenges resets to Legend Tokens 200 each day. The first daily challenge reroll is free.

Heirloom Shards

Main article: Heirloom
Heirloom Shards

Heirloom Shards are used to purchase items from the Mythic Store. Each Apex Pack that isn't an Event Pack Event one has a less than 1%[1] chance of dropping Heirloom Shards 150 unless 499 Packs are opened without finding any, in that case the 500th Pack is guaranteed to drop Heirloom Shards 150.

Some Collection Events, such as Anniversary Anniversary, may offer Heirloom Shards 150 upon acquiring all 24 Collection Event items.

Event-specific currencies
