Health is the amount of damage your legend can take before dying. This is visualized by the lower white bar beside your legend icon and username.
Every legend has 100 health that cannot be increased and does not regenerate (with the exception of Octane's Swift Mend) and can only be restored by using healing items or by using some legend abilities. Health can also be supplemented with shields, acquired by finding and equipping a Body Shield or Evo Shield, shields will always be damaged by weapons before health. Gas traps and zone damage apply only to health.
Healing items[edit | edit source]
Healing items can be found across the map and can be used directly from the inventory, or by holding 4 or / when health is low. Using a healing item takes several seconds and disables movement and other actions while being used, but can be canceled if needed.
The following items restore health:
- Syringe [25 health (50 with Gold Armor), 5 seconds]
- Med Kit (100% health, 8 seconds)
- Phoenix Kit (100% health and shields, 10 seconds)
Losing Health[edit | edit source]
After losing all health, the legend will enter a downed state, during which they have 100 health and can only move or activate a Knockdown Shield if equipped. They can be recovered either by a squadmate or by self once with a Legendary Knockdown Shield equipped, after being recovered they will have 20 health and no shields (or 70 health and 50 shields if equipped with a Legendary Backpack). If while downed they lose all remaining health or a maximum of 90 seconds have passed, the legend will die and drop a box with all its loot accessible to enemies and a banner that their teammate can pick up within 90 seconds to revive them at a Respawn Beacon without any gear. Consecutively being downed will result in the time you can be revived shortened, with the cap 10 seconds. If while being revived and the revive is canceled when the timer is 0 seconds, you will die instantly.
