Revision as of 14:42, 20 September 2021
Heirlooms are an ultra-rare set of cosmetic items in Apex Legends.
A new Heirloom Set is released in each Collection Event, except for the Anniversary Collection Event where 150 were offered instead. During the Collection Event, the Heirloom Set can be obtained by collecting all 24 items of the event's collection set. Once the Collection Event is over, the Heirloom Set is moved into the Heirloom Store where it can be purchased using shards.
Information
Each Apex Pack has a less than 1%[1] chance of dropping 150 Heirloom Shards, which can then be used in the Heirloom Store to buy an Heirloom Set of choice. A pack that contains Heirloom Shards is not consumed after being opened.
If a player opens 499 packs without getting any shards, 150 is guaranteed on the 500th pack. However, more shards cannot be acquired if all Heirloom Sets are already owned.
When a player knocks someone or gets a kill with an heirloom, the usual "[Melee]" in the kill feed is replaced with "[<Heirloom name> Melee]" (except for Too Much Witt where "[Mirage Statue Melee]" appears instead).

Trivia
- Some Legends are shown obtaining their Heirlooms in their Stories from the Outlands.
- In "Voidwalker", Wraith gets her Kunai from an alternate version of herself.
- In "The Old Ways", Bloodhound gets Raven's Bite from their uncle Artur.
- The Kunai has "QUIETO" written on it. The meaning is a Italian, Portuguese and Spanish word that means "still" or "Quiet".
- Mirage wears his goggles if he equips Too Much Witt.
- He also occasionally hits his opponents with a pork chop or does an eye poke while attacking.
- The trophy's description is a reference to the live-action performance that happened during The Game Awards of 2019.[2]
- In one of Death Hammer's weapon inspections, a spider, Scarabaeidae Arachnia, appears. The toxic substance used in Caustic's Nox Gas Trap and Nox Gas Grenade is harvested from this spider.[3] The spider also appears during the Fight or Fright events.
- Mythic is also a rarity, the highest one in the game. In addition to Heirloom Shards and Heirloom Sets, the following items are Mythic rarity: Supply Drop weapons, Treasure Packs, Vault Keys, and the Level 5 Evo Shield.
- After Forge's death in "Up Close and Personal", his death box appeared in the Sorting Factory in World's Edge, where the interview took place. Players could loot the death box for a limited time "Steel Cut" Commemorative Charm. However, the charm's rarity was downgraded to epic after picking it up.
- A heart container was placed throughout various locations on World's Edge and Olympus in late Season 9. Players could interact with the heart container for a short animation and a quick teaser at Seer's ability logos. 3 limited time "Bespoke Micro-Drone" Commemorative Charms would then spawn on the floor in place of the heart container. All players can only pick up one "Bespoke Micro-Drone" Commemorative Charm each. However, the charm's rarity is downgraded to epic after picking it up.
- The War Club inspect animations include an inspection where Gibraltar looks at his gun shield, which is the first time a Legend has inspected an item other than their Heirloom when having the Heirloom equipped.
- Pathfinder's Heirloom set is the only one that contains a Kill Quip instead of an Intro Quip.
- The Problem Solver has an attack animation that lets Rampart hit enemies with Octane's prosthetic leg. This is the only animation that borrows a part of another Legend.
