The Peacekeeper is a lever-action shotgun that utilizes Shotgun Shells Shotgun Shells. It fires 11 pellets in the shape of a star (1 pellet in the middle and 2 on each outer line of the star shape).

Special Note: The non rounded per pellet head shot damage numbers for Fortified, assuming Fortified reduces non rounded numbers, are (No Helmet -> Lvl3/4) 9.35, 9.18, 8.7875, and 8.60625. They ALL round to 9 damage/pellet equaling 99 damage total. Note: Fortified head shot damages may vary +-11. This is due to uncertainty over whether Fortified reduces non rounded or rounded damage numbers. This difference is negligible on non pellet based weapons.

  1. Shotgun Damage is calculated per pellet.
    Example: The Peacekeeper's head shot damage is calculated by 9dmg/pellet x 1.25 = 11.25dmg/pellet which rounds to 11dmg/pellet giving you 121 damage total. Whereas if you multiply the Peacekeeper's total body damage of 99 by its head shot multiplier of 1.25 you get 124 damage which is not equal to it's in game head shot damage of 121.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Extremely high damage if all or most pellets connect with a target.
  • The only shotgun that doesn't lose headshot multiplier regardless of range.
  • Hip-fire has a decent tight spread pattern.
  • Aiming down sights further reduces spread, up to three levels.
Cons
  • High recoil.
  • Long reload times (2.5s manually and 3.5s with empty mag).
  • Requires somewhat precise aim to deal high damage.
  • Bad iron sights.
  • Slow fire rate without a Shotgun Bolt Shotgun Bolt.

Trivia

  • The binary code on the Pal 9000 skin reads "Kill Pathfinder".
  • The Peacekeeper's codename is "energy_shotgun" and it shoots blue projectiles like energy weapons. This is due to the Peacekeeper's shells actually being batteries. Despite this, it does not use Energy Ammo Energy Ammo for gameplay reasons.
