The eighth season of Apex Legends, called Mayhem, started on February 2nd, 2021 and ended on May 4th, 2021.

New Content[]

New Legend: Fuse
New weapon: the 30-30 Repeater
New loot:
- Level 4 Extended Mags
- Heat Shields
Several changes to Kings Canyon^[1]:
- Slum Lakes flooded, replaced with Spotted Lake.
- Crash Site, a brand new location in the new opening on the north side of the map.
- Artillery Battery tunnel and The Farm destroyed.
- Loot Bunkers removed.
- Added Observation Towers, located at ECHO camps, and Explosive Holds, accessible by planting any grenade at the door.
Several changes to Ranked Leagues^[2]:
- Ranked matches will have more players in the same Tier.
- RP rewards begin at placement 13 instead of 10.
- Kill/Assist count has been raised from 5 to 6.
- Increased assist threshold timer from 7.5 to 10 seconds.
- Apex Predator tier has been increased to the top 750 players of each platform, from the previous top 500.
- Diamond Skydive Trails will return as a ranked reward.
New platform available: Nintendo Switch
