Shield

Shields are a buffer that absorb damage before a legend starts losing health. Shields are gained by equipping a body shield, which grants the player anywhere from 2-4 bars (depending on rarity); each bar absorbs 25 points of damage. They do not automatically regenerate, but can be replenished by using shield-restoring items or by equipping an undamaged body shield.

Shields do not absorb damage from the Ring or Caustic's Nox Gas.

Shield-restoring items

Shield-restoring items can be found across the map. They can be used, when shields are damaged, via the inventory or health kits menu. Using a restoring item takes several seconds and disables movement and other actions while being used but can be cancelled if needed.

The following items restore shields:

• Shield Cell (25 shields, 3 seconds)
• Shield Battery (100 shields, 5 seconds)
• Phoenix Kit (100 shields and 100 health, 10 seconds)
